And while you were thinking that the dinosaurs were gone, Orlando Tobias Edward Higginbottom, known from the stage name of “Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs“, releases his new single entitled “Leave A Light On” and all of a sudden reminds you that there is still life out there.

No need of armour or sword (a central element of the artwork), this song defeats all dragons out there. It may be a long time for the British producer to get to know his new musical endeavour, but the truth is that he is worth the wait.

His musical project was born in 2009 with a name that aimed to fight against the often pretentious world of dance music and “underground cool”. “I was looking for a name that couldn’t be cool, couldn’t be put into some kind of scene that gets hip for six months and then falls out of fashion”. And he succeeded, not just by the name of his project. In addition, in 2011, Damon Albarn invited TEED in the group of producers to record an album entitled “Kinshasa One Two” which was connected with Albarn’s work for well-known charity Oxfam.

All my time has been spent making music and thinking about making music,” he told during a recent interview. “But I couldn’t see a way for it to be fun. Both personally, and with regards to the state of the industry itself. It took me a while to find a space to work in. I moved from Oxford to London, but London was fruitless. I then moved to LA but it took about six months before I found a permanent spot and things then started to fall into place.” He added:  “With Leave A Light on, I had to start releasing music or I would have broken. Now I feel like there are no rules, and I’m strong enough to do things my way and fail gloriously”.
